Bright sun, blue skies, green grass, tall trees and 35 gorgeous Porsches, who could ask for more?  Ok, maybe a little warmer would have been nice!
Our second annual Show and Shine in Downtown Bend at the Deschutes County Historical Society was a great success.  Such a great success that the Society has asked us back again next year!  Thank you High Desert PCA and other Porsche owners for making this so successful.
We gave away 150 ballots for the “People Choice” voting and needed more!  We’ll have more ready for next year’s event.

What a great choice of Porsche numbers to choose from, 356, 911, 964, 993, 996, 997, 991, 912, 914, 968, 986 and a 911 race car, thanks Mike.  Did I forget any?
And the winner was… Dave Perce in his gorgeous 1963, 356B Cabroilet.   It seems a fitting Peoples Choice considering where we were!   Tom Anderson from Carrera Motors, our Show and Shine sponsor, presented Dave with the perpetual trophy.  The trophy is on display at the Carrera Motors showroom.  Roger Sanders was runner up with his 911 RS clone.

We even had German Food for lunch provided by the “Red Napkin”.   Thanks to my brother Curtis who came by to see the cars and ended up saving the food day.  He fixed an electrical problem that had the Red Napkin shut down.
Thanks to all who helped and participated in the event, especially Jim Lewis.  We have room to grow and I think we can fill the place next year!

Presidential Ramblings (April 2017)

Presidential Ramblings (March 2017)

More daylight, less snow, less cold — what’s not to like!  Seriously, this morning I realized how nice it is to drive on dry roads, even if they are marked by potholes and alligator skin pavement.  This has been a tough winter in Central Oregon, and I want...

Presidential Ramblings (Feb. 2017)
