Happy New Year!

I hope your New Year is going well. The New Year has started well for our club. The first meeting of the year was well attended, the virtual racing was a lot of fun and the winter tech session at Carrera was well attended and informative. Wow, we’ve had a great start for the New Year. With the Chili cook-off just around the corner and then the “Porsche Un-Plugged” tour, it looks like we’ll keep right on rolling. This is the “slow” season; just wait till we can drive our Porsches!

Tim on the virtual track

We, the High Desert Region, will be hosting the Zone 6 Presidents Meeting here in Bend this March 9th. The Presidents from all the regions within our Zone meet once a year with our Zone Representative, Dave Cooley. It’s a way for PCA National to flow down information to the Regions and for the Presidents to share knowledge and experiences from our Regions. Hopefully we all share and learn so we can keep our club growing and enjoyable. FYI, our Zone is comprised of fifteen Regions in both Canada and the United States and I believe we are the largest in area.

Okay, in the last “Ramblings” I mentioned I was searching for the “perfect” Cayman. The search is over, yeah! I know you’ll be relieved. That Meteor Gray Cayman running around town is probably me, or Jesse Felder (he just finished his search for the perfect Cayman) or Bill Shaw (he found his perfect Cayman years ago). So much for the “only one in town” color, maybe that lime green racing strip will help. A least we have different interior colors. The first correct email to me with what interior color goes with whose car will
win a prize at the next meeting. Here’s a hint, no Black! Jesse, Bill, myself and members of our family are not eligible, what about father-in-laws? Let the guessing begin.

Auf Wiedersehen!
