We had 17 cars for this Sunriver Fly In Event. Several members helped park
not only our cars, but all cars that displayed on the tarmac. This is a
Pancake Breakfast, Airplane Show, and Car Show. Rides on several airplanes
were available, and there were kids everywhere.
This is a charity event for New Generations, a local organization that helps
children who for one reason or another need help in getting started in life.
The food was provided by the Sunriver Resort, and volunteer "chefs" flipped
pancakes for all.
Mike Simmons lead the first group of 8 cars to the Cascade Lakes Hwy. for
the trip back to Bend. A few of the cars stopped at Elk Lake for a
refresher.
At the end of this event Pete Olson and I staged 8 of our cars near 2 WWll
Training aircraft. Selection was made on car color variety. Pete, Roger
Sanders, and I took some photos for an upcoming article in Panorama. We are
in the process of selecting the best photo, and writing the first draft this
week.
We have been invited again for next year. See you all there.
