Hi,
So... here we are, downshifting gears into the High Desert winter mode.
November is the month of transition, with some club members heading off to Arizona, Mexico and even Hawaii. A few more will likely disappear after the first of the year.
But “not to fear”, the High Desert Region Porsche Club still remains active during the “non-driving” months. Things like: chili cook-off, cars and coffee, Wed evening social, and who knows, maybe a couple of other fun events!
Congratulations and thank you to the HDR team that took part in the Hwy 20 roadside clean-up. “Read all about it” (along with photos) in the recent events/photos section of our website. A special “thank you” to the organizer & taskmaster Joe Mansfield!
In the meantime, I took off to the 2014 Porsche Escape in Orlando Florida. It was a three day event held at Disney World. A long way to drive, so I flew and rented a Camaro convertible, which really didn’t exactly fit right in...
However, I did link up with a great couple from Denver, and was very comfortable in the back seat of their Panamera on the driving tours each day, we had a great time and even drove on the beach at Daytona!
First day was Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, lunch and a tour of their facility and the private museum.
Second day was Kennedy Space Center
Third day was Daytona Speedway
That’s it for now… I look forward to seeing you at the HDR Holiday Party on Dec 6th!
Enjoy your Porsche & Porsche Friends Even More!
Pete
