Thank You! from Tracy

Last night was such an honor having the Community Service award bestowed upon me. Thank you so much for such a prestigious acknowledgement.  As I looked around at a standing ovation by 119 people I knew the entire group was deserving of this special praise, individually and as a whole. That is apparent each monthly meeting by the imaginative raffle prizes, by the outstanding silent auction items, by the letters of heartfelt thank you from the recipients of these fund raisers. I applaud the Arrive and Drive leaders, and those who put the time  into creating perfect tours. The overwhelming hours put into arranging the monthly catered dinners and decorating and clean up for them and special events deserves a Presidential award.  I am in awe of the people who have received the Community Service Award before me.  They inspired me by their examples to do even more for our communities. For those who follow me I know they will dedicate their hearts and time to bringing our Central Oregon communities together, both the individuals and the towns, while respecting their diversity. I value my membership in the High Desert Region Porsche Club not only because I was surrounded by mentors as I plowed through adversity but because I see such a phenomenal group of people sharing their knowledge, their dedication to volunteerism, and their financial support to those who haven't been as blessed as we have. I hope our members will join me in assisting Home To Share, Central Oregon Veterans Ranch, and Sisters Trails Alliance with the motto of "Trails For Everyone" to achieve their goals and make their dreams of community connectivity a reality.

Thank you from the depths of my heart.

Presidential Ramblings (March 2017)
