[soliloquy id="5392"]

It was the HDR Porsche Club's third year attending Diego's and was a perfect and very nice sunny 70 degree day.  FORTY Porsches and their drivers earned our HDR Porsche Club the trophy for most cars representing a car club at the show!  Certainly a great turn-out!  Thanks to all of you who made it possible to wrestle the trophy away from  the Corvette Club of Central Oregon for the second year in a row.

HDR Porsche Club won awards in two categories.  First place in air-cooled went to Kevin & Sean Neary for their 1965 356C and second place went to Bren Hirschberg for his 1971  911 Coupe.

The second category was water cooled.  First place went to Richard Farnham for his 2009 C4S.  Second place was awarded to Mike Simmons with his 2008 911 GT3.   Hearty congrats to all.

A special thanks to our 2 trophy sponsors this year  Josh with Silver Leaf Cafe  and Central Oregon Insurance.

I also want to thank Alan & Debbie Fuller and Mike Sampson for their help leading the two early morning convoys to the car show.  Also a special thanks to Mike Simmons for his early morning help with the event parking challenge.  Everyone who attended is responsible for making the HDR Porsche Club's showing at Diego's very successful indeed!  Our HDR Porsche Club was able to fill up all 40 spots we were given for the show on both sides of one block of  Evergreen Street in downdown Redmond.  What an amazing feat!  We should be very proud of our HDR Porsche Club showing.

Thanks and Happy Motoring
