On Saturday, April 26th, fourteen members of the High Desert PCA turned out to help pick up trash along our mile section of HWY 20, south of Sisters. With enough people to split the distance into quarters, it only took about an hour to complete the cleanup, yielding over 10 bags of debris. A special thanks goes to Jim Lewis for picking up the supplies, putting out the “road cleanup” warning signs, and bringing the award “goodies”.
As is the tradition, awards were given out for unique “finds”, such as the shiniest object, biggest object, most unique, etc. As you can see, there were some strange items to choose from. At the end of the morning, we all felt good about being outside on a beautiful day, helping to keep the roadside clean.
