The February Cars and Coffee brought out over 40 Porsche club members to enjoy the cars and conversation of all things Porsche. The cars on display at Mike Simmons work shop and garage showed different examples of Porsches from stock to full race. The wonderful colors that Porsche offers from lime green to bright orange were shining brightly on the highly waxed cars and an explanation of how each car was special was posted on each windshield.
Bren Hirschberg, our HDR driving events chairman, gave an informative explanation of the different levels of track experiences available through Porsche and its affiliates that can make your Porsche more fun to enjoy. From novice to pro the range of driving fun is only conditioned on the Porsche owner themselves and what they want to do with their own Porsche. If you are interested in receiving the printed information about all the track driving events it is available from Bren on line.
A video showing the racing line at Portland International raceway ended the formal presentations for the day but most people stayed and talked Porsche until lunch time arrived and all the donuts and coffee were gone. A great way to spend a blustery winter day in Central Oregon. Thanks to all who attended.
