The Z6GT is now reality and the time has come to make plans if you want to join the tour. You can do the whole enchilada (15 days, 4700 miles ) or any portion thereof.  We assume that most of the HDR members will not be able to commit to the entire tour, so we suggest the following “loops” for your consideration. If you decide to participate, all the hotel and other arrangements are up to you, but contact either Bren Hirschberg or Tim Hagner for guidance and we will coordinate the loop groups.
Loop 1 –July 24-29, Day 1-3 of the Tour. This trip will take 5-6 days and join the tour at the Start Line in Seattle, up the Olympic Penninsula, Ferry to Victoria BC, around Vancouver, over the Canadian Rockies to Kelowna BC. Return to Bend straight down Hwy 97 out of Kelowna. If you are interested in this loop, make your reservations NOW.

Loop 2 –Aug 4-6, Day 12-14 of the Tour. Join the group in Spokane,WA, travel to McCall Idaho, back to Bend. This is a 3 day drive.

Loop 3 –Aug 7-9, Day 15-16 of the Tour. Leave Club Carrera, Bend with the Tour group over to Oakridge, drive the Aufderheide hwy and overnight in Florence. Then on to Wilsonville for the Museum of Speed and the Finish line Celebration. Return to Bend. This will be a 2-3 day drive.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE Z6GT

1. Join the Welcome Wagon full-day drive

This drive leaves Thursday Aug 6^th from the Best Buy Parking lot at 0900 sharp (be there at 8:30-8:45) and goes straight out the US 26 to John Day. We will arrive there about noon and set up to welcome the arriving tour group (20-25 cars) for the lunch “hand-off” from Silver Sage Region. Following lunch and a brief drivers meeting we will drive back to bend with the group, take in the Crooked River Canyon, and end at the designated hotels on the East side of Bend. We should be home by 5.

2. Join the Adios Amigos full-day drive

This drive leaves Friday August 7^th from Club Carrera at 0900 sharp (be there at 0800 if you want to enjoy a catered breakfast, sponsored by Kendall Porsche of Bend. Drivers meeting at 8:45, then out the Cascade Lakes Hwy to a rest stop at Cultus Lake. On to Oakridge where we meet for the “hand-off” to Cascade Region at Ray’s Sentry Market. Then you may return back to Bend, or continue with the group on the Aufterheide highway (a TERRIFIC drive)on to the Totakee Golf Course for lunch with the group (approx. 30 cars and 50 people) for $14 apiece, then leave the group and head back to Bend. We should be home by 5.
